  • Collaborate across project and corporate teams, sharing knowledge and contributing to a cohesive, high-performing work environment.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor or M.Sc. in biology, ecology, soil science, botany, or a related field.

  • Professional Designation: Professional Biologist (P. Biol.) with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists or Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) in Alberta.

  • Hold an Authenticating Wetlands Professional (AWP) designation with the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists

  • Wetlands Expertise: Proven experience with wetland delineation and classification, along with familiarity with Alberta’s wetland regulatory frameworks.

  • Technical Experience: Skilled in preparing Wetlands Assessment and Impact Forms, Wetlands Assessment and Impact Reports, and utilizing the Wetland Rapid Evaluation Tool.

  • Relevant Experience: Ideally 3 or more years of experience conducting a broad range of wetlands-focused work in both pre-construction and construction settings.

  • Ecological Skills: Strong plant identification skills for wetland, prairie grassland, and upland communities in boreal landscapes. Proficient in conducting vegetation inventories and assessments across grassland, boreal, and upland regions. Experienced in soil classification for ecological assessments.

  • Professional Competencies: Strong technical writing, reporting, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively while maintaining strong interpersonal skills.

  • Problem-Solving & Independence: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and applying effective problem-solving skills.

  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.

  • Other Requirements: Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.
