L’ingénieur en développement de produits fait partie intégrante de l’équipe de R&D en participant à toutes les phases du développement de produits et des processus de production; responsable du développement de nouvelles technologies et de l’évolution de notre gamme de produits, dans la catégorie bâtons. Ce rôle relève du directeur développement de produits – bâtons.

Fonctions et responsabilités essentielles de l’emploi:



  • Gestion des activités CAO (internes et externes) pendant le processus de développement.

  • S'assurer que les documents techniques répondent aux normes de l'industrie ainsi qu'aux spécifications et que vous déterminez la précision et la tolérance du matériau des composants et du produit fini, y compris les dessins en 2D.

  • Gérer le processus de développement de nouvelles applications techniques, de pièces et de projets de recherche et de nouveaux procédés manufacturiers, le cas échéant.

  • Supporter nos efforts de caractérisation de performance au laboratoire (instrumentation de produits, etc.)

  • Développer de nouveaux protocoles de test en laboratoire pour affiner notre capacité à quantifier la performance de nos produits.

  • Travailler sur des projets d'industrialisation avec nos partenaires manufacturiers.


Exigences:



  • Baccalauréat en génie, préférablement en mécanique - ou des années équivalentes d’expérience pertinente et connexe.



  • 2 à 4 ans d'expérience dans les domaines des matériaux composites, moulage par injection ou dans le domaine d'application de peintures.

  • Être membre et inscrit au Tableau de l'OIQ– Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.

  • Expérience en création et utilisation de dessins techniques avec le logiciel Pro-E.

  • Excellentes habilités en gestion du temps/projets.

  • Excellente communication écrite et verbale en français et en anglais.

  • Capacité à participer à de multiples projets dans un environnement en constante évolution.

  • Connaissance et compréhension des processus de fabrication dans l’industrie des composites.

  • Expérience avec les tests de laboratoire et/ou au niveau du contrôle de qualité en fabrication est un atout.

  • Capacité de voyager à l'étranger (États-Unis et Asie) 15% du temps.

The Product Development Engineer is an integral member of R&D team by participating in all phases of product development and production processes; responsible for developing new technology and evolving our product lineup, in the Sticks category. This role reports to the Product Development Director – Sticks.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:



  • Managing CAD activities (internal & external) during the development process.

  • Ensuring that technical documents meet industry standards as well as specifications and you determine the specification and tolerance of component material and finished product including 2D drawings.

  • Managing the development process of new technical applications, parts & research projects and new manufacturing processes when applicable.

  • Support performance characterization efforts in the lab (instrumentation, etc.).

  • Developing new lab testing protocols to further refine our ability to quantify the performance of our products.

  • Work on industrialization projects with our manufacturing partners.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably mechanical- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.

  • 2-4 years of experience in the field of composites, injection molding and painting application processes.



  • Be a member and registered on the Roll of the OIQ- Order of Engineers of Quebec.

  • Experience in creating and using engineering drawings with Pro-E.

  • Excellent time/project management skills.

  • Strong communication skills in French and English.

  • Ability to participate in multiple projects in fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes in the composite industry.

  • Lab testing and/or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

  • Ability to travel abroad (USA & Asia) 15% of the time.
