We are looking for an Execution Specialist for our Liquor store businesses. In this role, you will drive store performance by leading and coaching store management teams to meet targets, collaborate closely with operations and retail leadership, and help optimize execution standards, enhance customer experience, and foster employee engagement. Location: Saskatchewan.
Here’s Where You’ll Be Focusing
Drive performance based on DES‑defined priorities
- Articulate key performance indicators (KPIs) to management teams.
- Assist in the creation of action plans and problem‑solve with store management teams.
- Field questions from store management on sales techniques, cost controls, and policy and procedures.
Collaborate with store management on priorities and industry‑leading department standards
- Communicate department priorities and best practices regularly to Retail management and Operations.
- Continually assess effectiveness of standards and provide feedback for improvement.
- Identify opportunities and challenges at store level and help problem‑solve with store management to address them.
Manage functional and technical training for Retail managers
- Coordinate training logistics and lead sessions on a regular basis.
- Be a resource for store managers in your area of expertise.
- Implement curriculum and content created by Operations and other back‑office teams.
- Assess quality of training content and delivery and address opportunities for improvement.
Drive employee engagement and customer experience in department programs
- Consider and incorporate employee engagement behaviours and customer experience attributes into department materials and communication.
- Foster an environment that encourages employee engagement and motivates team members to perform at their very best.
- Support talent management succession planning strategy by ensuring capable people are identified and have action plans in place that align to individual and organizational needs.
Monitor compliance results within department and division of responsibility
- Review compliance results including Integrated Health Management and Winning Conditions audits.
- Report trends and opportunities to store management teams.
- Participate in regularly scheduled store visits to ensure compliance on policy and all store standards.
What You Have To Offer
- An undergraduate degree and about 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading a store department within a retail environment.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and support teams through change.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive execution.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple store sites, including overnight stays.
- In‑depth knowledge of retail operations processes and execution standards.
