Claims Adjuster - Temporary Full-Time (5 Days) - Please note that this is a full time temporary position for approximately 12 months.

We are currently hiring a Temporary Full-TimeClaims Adjuster based in our Head Office in Burnaby.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby BC office (3 Remote / 2 On Site). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.

As a Claims Adjuster your primary responsibility is to handle insurance claims reported by policyholders and investigate adjust negotiate settle or deny the claim. Your role is crucial to ensure policyholders receive prompt assistance while helping them navigate the claims process smoothly and efficiently with homeowner claims recreational vehicle and travel accident benefits.

• Youre proactive with meeting deadlines and takes initiative.

During a typical day you will:

• Maintain a professional relationship with the insurer primarily over the telephone.

• Investigate the legitimacy of the claim interview and take statements from policyholders claimants and witnesses.

• Reviews information including but not limited to estimates photos and/or videos of property damage proof of ownership hospital records and other pertinent information to fully substantiate the claim.

• Negotiate a fair and cost effective settlement with the insures claimants or claimants legal representative either directly or through the services of retained counsel.

What youll bring:

• Post-secondary diploma in business or related courses programs licenses (insurance related) and/or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum 4 years in a claims or insurance environment.

• Bonus Qualifications:

• CIP designation.

• Second language.

The salary range for this position is $62274.60 to $77843.16 and is determined viajob-related knowledge skills experience certifications market demand and internal addition to base salary and BCAA benefits this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5% with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
