We are seekingaProjectAccounting to join us fora full-time 18-month contract with the possibility of for location is our North Vancouver office.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable invoicingandprojectreconciliation plus miscellaneous accounting duties asrequired.
Assistwithaccountingbillingprocess improvements.
Supportfinancial performance of project portfolio partnering with project managers to delivertimely actionable reporting.
Review and manage client billing to ensure accuracy contract compliance andtimelycollections; resolve billing issues.
Maintainaccurateproject financial data throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform monthlyprojectfinancial reviews includingbudgetvariance analysis and profitability insights.
Identifyprojectfinancial risks and irregularitiesandrecommend corrective actions.
Manage work-in-progress (WIP) including forecasting and financial analysis.
Serve asanERP system expert (ex. Microsoft Business Central) promoting best practices and supporting users.
Support month-end year-end audits and financial reporting in collaboration with corporate accounting.
Contribute to process improvements and standardization initiatives.
Mentor junior team members and promote consistency in accounting practices.
Education and Experience:
Diploma or degree in accountingfinanceora relateddiscipline.
CPA designation (or in progress) preferred.
Minimum 5 yearsofgeneral accounting experience.
StrongbackgroundwithMicrosoftDynamics 365Business Centralor other ERP experience.
Other Assets/Skills:
Strong organizational skills multi-tasking and attention to detail.
Ability to build andmaintaineffective stakeholder relationships with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proactively prioritize workload demandsin afast-paced environment.
Ability to continuously evaluate and adapt to new tools and practices as businessneedscontinue to grow.
