Enterprise Systems team oversees the university's enterprise resource planning systems. It's an Agile team of PeopleSoft experts, who are leading the charge in enhancing the SFU experience with modern IT solutions within Oracle Peoplesoft Enterprise Systems, including Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management, and Finance and Supply Chain Management systems available to SFU students, faculty, and staff
About the Role
The Senior Developer, PeopleSoft primarily manages all aspects of analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of upgrades, customization, integration, extended functionalities, enhancements and maintenance of the university’s suite of Enterprise (PeopleSoft) systems, including HR/Payroll, Financial, and Campus Solutions. The role performs complex design and development tasks, and leads development projects. The Senior Developer is responsible for architecting one or more PeopleSoft ERP systems, particularly with regards to future application integrations. The role serves as a functional and technical expert; and provides technical mentorship and guidance to the team. Acting as a subject matter expert and point of contact for external clients, the Senior Developer determines the technical direction of enterprise-wide systems. The Senior Developer is responsible for optimizing the quality of the software architecture, as well as providing innovative solutions on custom development to meet the university’s functional and technical requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computing Science or related discipline, and five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Solutions such as Campus Solution, HCM and FCMS.
- Excellent knowledge of PeopleTools version 8.55 (or higher) including Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, Application Packages, Application Messaging, Component Interfaces, SQR, Workflow and Query.
- Excellent knowledge of PeopleSoft integration technology (i.e. REST, SOAP) and security.
- Good knowledge of key application diagnosis tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and waterfall software development methodologies.
