Job description

We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Manager of Reliability. This role is responsible for leading plant reliability engineering, preventative maintenance, and associated capital project activities to ensure reliable manufacturing operations.

Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Propose, justify, design, procure, construct, commission, and support training for Preventive Maintenance and engineering projects across the plant
  • Provide overall leadership, training, and supervision to maintenance personnel and external contractors
  • Manage the plant reliability engineering team ensure safe operation, cost effectiveness, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement maintenance routines, procedures, and downtime elimination strategies
  • Plan, budget, schedule, and coordinate capital and engineering projects
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to production operations
  • Support and maintain compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality audit requirements
  • Develop and support energy management initiatives, including utility reduction and waste heat recovery
  • Manage departmental budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and capital justification
  • Collaborate with engineers, production teams, technicians, and contractors to achieve operational goals
  • Utilize CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities and asset reliability

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering management experience in a manufacturing environment (Reliability engineering and/or maintenance)
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical staff and contractors
  • Sound technical knowledge of applicable engineering standards and codes (e.g., TSSA, CSA, ESA)
  • Strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety legislation
  • Experience managing maintenance operations using a CMMS
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
