Electrical Assembler

We are hiring an Electrical Assembler – Electrical Wiring and Panel for a permanent, full-time position in Brampton, ON. You will assemble, wire, and test electrical control panels and custom industrial equipment following schematics and UL 508A standards.

Responsibilities
• Read, interpret, and work from multi-page electrical schematics (50–200 pages), wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
• Assemble, mount, and point-to-point wire electrical control panels, subpanels, and power enclosures.
• Install and integrate electrical components including PLCs, VFDs, relays, contactors, transformers, circuit breakers, power supplies, and terminal blocks.
• Perform neat wire routing, harness bundling, ferruling, labeling, and secure terminations following established UL 508A standards.
• Conduct continuity testing, functional checks, and initial troubleshooting on completed control panels and machinery.
• Mount finished subpanels into machinery enclosures and perform complete machine wiring connections.
• Identify and report design discrepancies or electrical issues to the shop coordinator or team lead.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and active usage of required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in electrical panel building or machine wiring.
• Post-secondary Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Electrician, or equivalent field (or equivalent hands-on trade experience).
• Must have basic hand tools (screwdrivers, Allen keys, standard hand tools).
• Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs and stand throughout the shift.
• Trade licenses (e.g., 442A Industrial Electrician, 309A Electrician, or 433A Millwright) or Overhead Crane certificates are assets, but not required.
• Successful completion of on-site schematic reading and bench wiring tests.

• Expertise reading multi-page electrical schematics and layout drawings.
• Hands-on panel building, wiring, and crimping skills.
• Working knowledge of UL 508A electrical standards.
• Ability to use multimeters and continuity testing tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
