Job Summary
We are hiring a Machine Operator for a direct hire opportunity in Burlington, ON. This is a great role for a mechanically inclined production professional who enjoys hands-on manufacturing work, machine setup, troubleshooting, blueprint reading, and working with precision measuring tools.
The Machine Operator will work in a structured industrial environment on 12-hour rotating continental shifts, supporting the production of core pieces, components, and transformers. Key Responsibilities
- Set up manual machine changeovers and troubleshoot equipment issues to support efficient production.
- Cut core pieces and build components and transformers according to drawings, blueprints, and production requirements.
- Measure steel widths and material thickness, verify results against customer orders and specifications, and record actual measurements accurately.
- Load, package, and band steel products according to customer requirements.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, vernier calipers, or micrometers to maintain quality standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures while performing physically active production work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Location: Burlington, ON.
- Schedule: 12-hour rotating continental shifts.
- Shift times: 6:00am to 6:00pm and 6:00pm to 6:00am.
- Starting pay: $23.18 per hour.
- Pay after 3 months: $24.20 per hour.
- Pay after 6 months: $25.22 per hour.
- Pay after 1 year: $30.43 per hour.
- Night shift premium: $0.75 per hour.
- Weekend shift premium: $1.00 per hour.
