What & Why:Our client is seeking QA Automation Developers to lead quality assurance across the delivery of digital services within cross-functional agile project teams. This hands-on role owns test planning, test case design, automated test suite development, and load, performance, and security testing — all integrated with CI/CD pipelines. You'll work closely with developers, product owners, designers, and researchers to support frequent, high-quality feature delivery across two to three concurrent projects. This is an excellent opportunity to bring real automation ownership to a modern, standards-driven QA practice with an active mandate for AI-assisted testing innovation.
Who:Our client's Digital Design and Delivery Division is a large public-sector organization's centre for digital delivery, established to drive modernization and service transformation across government ministries. Their environment is highly collaborative, bringing together product owners, designers, researchers, and developers in cross-functional agile teams to deliver programs that better serve the public through human-centred design and modern data practices.
You:
You'll bring the following experience and capabilities:
- 4+ years of experience creating and modifying automation test scripts.
- 3+ years of experience preparing automation test plans and test cases.
3+ years of experience using automation testing frameworks. - 3+ years of experience with load testing, performance testing, security testing, and/or end-to-end testing.
- 2+ years of experience coding and developing automation scripts with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- 2+ years of experience with GitHub.
Nice to Have: - Experience with automation tools Cypress or Playwright.
- Experience with API testing.
- Experience with Cucumber and/or Gherkin for BDD.
- Experience implementing QA automation standards within an organization.
- Experience establishing and gathering automation testing metrics.
- Experience with Jira Xray.
- Experience with UAT processes in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Compensation:This role pays $65/hr - $70/hr (incorporated).
