Position Overview

Emergency Response Services (ERS) Clinical Service Leaders are responsible for providing advanced levels of care to patients in both pre-hospital and inter‑facility transport roles. This position plays a key role as part of a multidisciplinary health care team and is dedicated to providing compassionate, high‑quality health care services.

The Clinical Service Leader is responsible for providing accessible, responsive, and integrated patient care at all times. The role collaborates with health care providers, allied emergency service agencies, and other community agencies. Clinical Service Leaders provide front‑line clinical leadership, mentorship, education, evaluation, and involvement in ERS initiatives, and are responsible to monitor ERS system capacity, perform day‑to‑day administration, and lead specialized incident response.

The incumbent will exercise the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and actions to be taken.

The incumbent will provide committed support and clinical care to diverse populations and communities with diverse backgrounds, cultures, identities, values, beliefs and traditions including Indigenous communities. This role will demonstrate commitment to the mission, visions, values, goals, objectives, and policies of Shared Health.

Experience

• 3 years of experience practicing at the Primary Care Paramedic and / or Intermediate Care Paramedic level.

3 years of progressive experience in a clinical health‑care setting including :

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
