Permanent position

Shift : Day Shift Continental

Wage : $30 - $40 per hour (based on experience)

Bonus : $5000 signing bonus for Journeymen Reefer Technician

Responsibilities

As a Trailer Technician, a normal day would include :

• Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on trailers, such as replacing brakes, repairing or replacing damaged panels, fixing electrical wiring, troubleshooting lighting issues, and addressing any other mechanical problems.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on trailers to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks performed, and parts used in compliance with shop procedures.
• Perform Inspections : Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve complex issues in trailer systems and work collaboratively
• Keep track of used parts, request new supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and labeling of inventory items.

Qualifications

What do you need for this position?

• A certified Journeyman Technician or 4 years of experience
• Manitoba Safety certification is a strong asset
• Carrier Certificate would be considered an asset.
• Experience using computers to enter work orders.
• Good communication skills with a professional attitude.
• Hold a valid Driver's License.
• Ability to obtain CVIP
