About the Role As a Buyer/Planner, you will play a key role in EiKO’s supply chain team by balancing the dual responsibilities of purchasing materials and planning inventory to meet customer demand. You’ll manage supplier relationships, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure timely product availability while contributing to continuous improvement across our global operations. This is an on-site position that requires strong communication and coordination across time zones and departments. Key Responsibilities Procurement & Supplier Coordination · Source, evaluate, and purchase materials and components to meet production and sales needs · Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies or delays · Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring service levels, cost targets, and quality standards are met · Monitor global supply conditions and proactively address risks (e.g., holiday shutdowns like Chinese New Year) Inventory & Materials Planning · Maintain accurate inventory levels to support demand without overstocking · Use forecasting tools to anticipate demand based on historical data, sales input, and market trends · Create and manage purchase and production schedules based on inventory and lead time requirements · Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Operations, Product Management) to align supply with business priorities Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement · Utilize ERP and planning systems (preferably Oracle NetSuite, Netstock) to manage purchasing, planning, and inventory control · Analyze KPIs and supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement · Participate in supply chain projects aimed at process optimization, cost savings, and scalability Collaboration & Communication · Work effectively across virtual teams and international suppliers · Ensure clear, proactive communication between departments and external partners · Contribute to a culture of reliability, ownership, and continuous learning Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) · Purchase order accuracy and timeliness · Inventory turnover and availability · On-time supplier delivery rate · Procurement cost savings and efficiencies · Forecast accuracy and schedule adherence · Reduction in excess/obsolete inventory What You Bring · Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field · 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply planning, or materials management · Strong knowledge of sourcing, purchasing, and inventory best practices · Experience with ERP systems (Netstock, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or similar) · Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills · Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities · Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment · Experience with technical/industrial products (lighting, electrical, etc.) is a plus Work Environment · On-site (Brampton, ON) · Occasional travel may be required for supplier meetings or company events
