Job description
Reporting to the Director, Emergency, Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy Services, the Emergency Services Clinical Quality Consultant plays an integral role supporting Emergency Services at Osler. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong relationship building, facilitation and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects simultaneously.

Job qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in relevant health care professional, business administration, engineering
- Masters prepared is considered an asset
- 3 years experience through participation in quality improvement initiatives, organizational committee work
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook and Visio
- Experience using Pulsecheck and Meditech documentation systems are an asset
- Demonstrated understanding of the Emergency Services and acute care environment an asset
- Demonstrated success in identifying and implementing process improvements in a clinical environment, coupled with strong project management expertise
- Demonstrated success in implementing change
- Proven track record in developing strong relationships through a foundation of trust
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to coach, advise, and teach others using the principles of adult learning theory
- Demonstrated professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues / topics
- Demonstrated commitment to the safety of co-workers and patients
- Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence, multiple / tasks / projects, and rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with Accreditation Canada standards and processes as well as health care quality assurance trends, practices and legislation
- Demonstrated knowledge of research processes and systems
- Ability to work in a team based environment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required
- Data management and statistical experience an asset
- Superior communication, facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills are required
- Certificate in process improvement and / or project management is considered an asset
- Certificate in quality improvement is considered an asset
- Ability to travel between sites as necessary
Additional information
Hours: Currently Days and may include weekends and statutory holidays according to the needs of the program (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
SALARY:
Minimum: $45.34 per hour
Maximum: $56.68 per hour
