The person we are seeking for is a passionate and experienced software engineer who can work with us to combine the cutting-edge techniques and bring the AutoCAD user experience to next level on Android Platform.

We expect the candidate to have deep knowledge of Android platform, be mindful of the impact to AutoCAD Mobile customers when developing the product and can work with cross functional and platform teams to deliver high quality product on schedule.

This is a hybrid role in Vancouver.

Responsibilities

Translate designs and product requirements into high quality code on the Android platform

Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elaborate, design, and implement new features

Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code

Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application

Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs

Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems

Push the envelope on cutting edge mobile technologies and front-end engineering best practices

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

3+ years of professional software development experience

Proficiency in Java or Kotlin

Familiarity with Android libraries, services, and SDKs

Familiarity with performance tuning, threading, and offline storage

Understanding of UX / UI standards

Solid understanding of the Android mobile app development cycle

Experience with developing cross-platform software components

Experience with Test Driven Development and continuous delivery

Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

Published Android apps in the Google Play store

Optimization and benchmarking skills

Familiarity with CAD software (Architectural, Mechanical, or Civil design)

ML / AI operations experience

Software development experience in a web environment

Experience building iOS apps

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650.

Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
