Job description
Join the Town of Coalhurst as the Executive Legislative & Governance Officer, where you will excel in governance and administrative coordination. This full-time position supports executive functions and ensures legislative integrity.

Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, you will oversee critical governance and legislative tasks, including the preparation of briefs and managing executive communications. Your role will emphasize compliance with legislation and the facilitation of Council processes. Responsibility for project coordination and documentation will also be paramount in supporting intermunicipal collaboration.

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare executive briefs and manage meeting workflows • Ensure legislative compliance within governance procedures • Support Council and committee governance processes • Maintain corporate records and track agreements • Assist with special governance-related projects

Requirements: • At least two years of related experience • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline • Experience with Microsoft tools • Knowledge of Local Government Administration is beneficial • Current Driver’s License required
