Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Role: Intermediate Mechanical Designer
Location: KWG
Salary: 75k+ (Based on Experience)
Fully on site

We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded consulting engineering firm in the Kitchener–Waterloo region that is looking to add an Intermediate Mechanical Designer to their growing team. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems
• Prepare drawings, layouts, and specifications using AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Support project teams through all phases, including schematic design, detailed design, and construction administration
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, and architectural consultants
• Perform basic calculations and assist with system sizing and equipment selection
• Attend site visits and support field reviews as required

Qualifications:

• 3–6 years of experience in mechanical design within a building consulting environment
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (OBC, ASHRAE, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to continue developing technically
