Job description

Limestone Clinic is a values-driven psychotherapy practice in Kingston, Ontario, providing thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adults.

We are seeking an experienced therapist who values clinical excellence, ethical practice, and meaningful therapeutic work. Our clinicians are supported by strong systems, collegial consultation, administrative support, and a culture that values accountability, curiosity, honesty, humour, and high-quality care.

Our current demand is strongest for clinicians who provide in-person services and have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, or relationship concerns.

Before applying, we ask all prospective clinicians to complete our Independent Practice Readiness Assessment: https://quiz.limestone.clinic/independent-practice-readiness-assessment.

This brief assessment helps us understand your fit for independent practice and group practice work. Selected candidates may be invited to submit a CV and cover letter following completion of the assessment.

Compensation:

$105 - $140 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality psychotherapy to adult clients, with care that is thoughtful, ethical, relational, and clinically grounded
  • Work with clients presenting with concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation difficulties
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans that support meaningful therapeutic progress, while practising within your scope and competence
  • Maintain timely, accurate, ethical clinical documentation consistent with Ontario standards and your regulatory college
  • Manage clinical risk appropriately, including safety planning, consultation, referral, or escalation when clinically indicated
  • Collaborate with Limestone’s intake and administrative systems to support client matching, scheduling flow, continuity of care, and client experience
  • Use JaneApp, Slack, email, calendar systems, and clinic processes reliably and professionally
  • Maintain clear therapeutic boundaries, consistent attendance practices, and effective session structure
  • Engage in consultation, mentorship, or clinical dialogue when appropriate, especially when cases become complex or stuck
  • Contribute to a clinic culture where warmth, directness, accountability, clinical curiosity, and good humour can coexist

Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in a regulated mental health field, such as psychotherapy, counselling psychology, social work, psychology, or equivalent
  • Current registration with an Ontario regulatory college permitting the controlled act of psychotherapy
  • Eligible registrations may include CRPO, CPBAO/CPO, OCSWSSW, or another applicable Ontario regulatory college
  • Please note: In Ontario, CCC designation alone does not permit a clinician to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy
  • Strong clinical experience supporting adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, or relationship concerns
  • Trauma-competent or actively trauma-committed; training in EMDR, Brainspotting, CPT, or other trauma-focused approaches is welcome
  • Comfortable with emotionally complex work and clients whose progress may not follow a tidy timeline
  • Reliable, professional, friendly, clinically thoughtful, and able to maintain clear therapeutic boundaries
  • Coachable, growth-oriented, and willing to use consultation or mentorship when it improves client care
  • Tech-comfortable with email, calendars, PDFs, JaneApp, Slack, and online scheduling systems
  • Able to provide in-person psychotherapy in Kingston, Ontario; evening availability is strongly preferred
  • Preferred: 2+ years of post-registration clinical experience or equivalent depth of clinical competence

About Company

Limestone Clinic is a values-driven psychotherapy practice in Kingston, ON, providing thoughtful, evidence-based therapy for adults. We’re known for doing therapy well: ethically, relationally, and with integrity. Our work is grounded in strong clinical thinking, nervous-system–informed approaches, and the OG - human connection.

We believe therapists do their best work when they feel supported, respected, and aren't burning out. That means clear expectations, solid systems, boundaries, and a culture that values accountability, curiosity, honesty, and humour. We take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

At Limestone, you’ll find smart, kind clinicians who care about growth, collaboration, and providing excellent care. We talk things through, support one another, and value being good humans as much as being skilled clinicians.

If you’re looking for a clinic that prioritizes quality care, ethical practice, and a healthy team culture, you'll feel right at home here.
