Our Security Surveillance Systems Technician is responsible for the assembly, deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mobile surveillance units. This role also owns inventory & asset management for all service-enabling guarding equipment such as cameras, NVR, speakers, networking devices, modems, and related accessories. The position plays a critical role in enabling Paladin’s Integrated Guarding services by ensuring equipment is built correctly, tracked accurately, deployed reliably, and maintained to operational standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Assemble, configure, and test mobile surveillance units, including cameras, speakers, networking components, power systems, poles, and enclosures
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure all builds meet operational, safety, and performance standards
- Support field deployment, retrieval, redeployment, and equipment staging for upcoming projects
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware, connectivity, and power issues across build, deployment and operational phases
- Perform preventative maintenance on trailers and surveillance units to ensure uptime and reliability
- Provide technical support and guidance to operations and field teams regarding deployment systems and configurations
- Maintain build standards, checklists, and configuration documentation
- Recommend improvements to build design, standardization, inventory workflows, and asset utilization
- Maintain accurate inventory records and Integrated Guarding technology equipment
- Record asset serial numbers, configurations, and deployment details, and lifecycle status (in stock, deployed, under repair, retired)
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts, audits, and manage RMAs, repairs, replacements, and warranty tracking with vendors
- Perform other duties as required to meet organizational objectives
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical diploma, certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience security systems or electronics
- Experience assembling, installing, or supporting CCTV, surveillance, networking, or IoT-type systems
- Working knowledge of IP cameras, NVRs, networking fundamentals, and cellular connectivity
- Comfort working with power systems (AC/DC, batteries, solar components preferred)
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, mounting plans, and technical documentation
- Experience with inventory management, asset tracking, or warehouse operations is strongly preferred
- Proficient with asset tracking systems, spreadsheets, and documentation tools
- Comfortable working in warehouse, yard, and outdoor environments
