JOB FUNCTIONS:
Job functions include but are not limited to the following.
- Participates in overall product outcome associated with web fed flexo presses
- Interprets and documents standards related to product performance/quality
- Assists in the maintenance and set up of equipment for customer product
- Able to fill in as a catcher if needed
- Sets up materials for press operation.
- Assist in the performance of equipment operations, adjustments, tests and conversions on all equipment associated with converting operations
- Participates in doing line clearance, quality checks, safety champion and production reports
- Tests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards are maintained.
- Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.
- Follows customer packing specs and reports on any outages
- Has a valid lift tow walkie license
- Performs other organizational duties as required.
Education and Experience Required:
- Grade 12 or acceptable experience.
- On-the-job related experience required.
Skills and Physical Requirement:
- Basic computer skills, data entry
- General schedules are an 8hr 3 shift operation and/or 12-hour continental shifts with rotating weekends off, however, employees must be willing to work alternate schedules or overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
- Occasional walking, bending and turning
- Frequently reaching and twisting
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
- Work in areas of fluctuating temperature.
