Position Information Position Title Aviation Maintenance Student Assistant Posting Type Temporary End Date (if applicable) 08/28/2026 Classification Title App G Student Pay Band 1 Min Salary 20.00 Max Salary 20.00 Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Aviation Technologists attached to the AT_AM program, the student assistant will be responsible for:
- Development and repair of training aids;
- Repair of static aircraft airframe and engines, test cab engines and turbine engines;
- Assist with job lists from each faculty member for each shop/lab for the following semester; Each list will have material to be sourced, ordered, prepared for semester training aids
- Nine different shops/labs that require material or repairs;
- Repositioning of aircraft and engines (this is tricky without the help of a student assistant as more than two people is a minimum for moving these items); and
- Set up shops/labs and organize – prep for Fall semester

Full-time is defined as having a minimum 60% course load, or 40% if you have a permanent disability.
• Must be returning to Confederation College as a full-time post-secondary student in September 2026
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident protected person, or an international student who is legally eligible to work in Canada.
• If domestic, must be approved for OSAP, or complete the
