What You’ll Do

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs on Komatsu and other OEM equipment, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Assign work, coordinate scheduling, monitor and manage WIP, ensure alignment with warranty submissions, and utilize resources efficiently.
  • Guide and support tradespeople with repair procedures, technical challenges, and daily tasks.

What You Bring

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, ideally in a large shop environment. Other qualifications include:

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy duty equipment.
  • Solid understanding of OH&S legislation, safety standards and inspection practices.
  • Highly organized, performance-focused, and passionate about leading teams.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (including Excel) and familiarity with Gantt charts.
  • Valid Class G/5 driver’s license.

This position is classified as a Frontline Leader in SMS Equipment’s competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise) and leadership competencies (people leadership, managing through change and uncertainty, and influence).
