Job description

Brandt Developments Ltd. is currently seeking a Corporate Landscape & Horticulture Specialist to join our team in Regina, SK.

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the landscape maintenance, enhancement, and design needs of Brandt locations across Canada. You will help ensure that all corporate properties reflect exceptional environmental stewardship, strong aesthetic appeal, and consistent alignment with Brandt’s brand standards. This position combines hands-on horticultural work with landscape design input, project coordination, and oversight of external vendors.

Who We Are

Brandt is a customer driven company, privately owned and family run, strengthened by diversification and succeeding through specialization. We operate over 170 locations across Canada, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.

For nine decades, the people of Brandt have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the hardworking people that we serve. And really, there’s no place we’d rather be because just like them, it’s when we’re working hard and getting things done that we’re at our best.

Our success is driven by a passionate belief in the unlimited potential of our company and the ultimate success of our customers, and we act on that belief every single day.

That’s Powerful Value, Delivered.

What You Will Be Responsible For

Landscape Maintenance & Horticulture

  • Develop national planting plans for all dealership locations to ensure regionally appropriate, low-maintenance, and visually consistent landscapes.
  • Selecting plant species suited to local climate, soil profiles, and care requirements to optimize long-term plant health and sustainability.
  • Create seasonal care schedules and maintenance guidelines to support facility managers in executing consistent, high-quality landscape care.
  • Monitor plant health and diagnose pest, disease, and environmental issues to maintain attractive, resilient exterior spaces.
  • Advise on irrigation, soil amendments, and fertilization strategies to enhance plant performance and reduce long-term maintenance needs.

Landscape Design & Improvements

  • Support the design and enhancement of dealership landscapes to improve visual impact, functionality, and customer experience.
  • Produce concept drawings, planting plans, and basic layout diagrams (AutoCAD or similar is an asset) to guide project execution accurately.
  • Collaborate with design, construction, facilities, and dealership teams to ensure landscape plans align with site requirements and corporate goals.
  • Recommend sustainable practices and native plant options to reduce environmental impact and lifecycle costs.

Project & Vendor Coordination

  • Coordinate with contractors, nurseries, and maintenance providers to ensure landscaping services meet quality and brand standards.
  • Review quotes and evaluate vendor performance to support cost-effective, high-quality project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits to verify installation accuracy and maintenance quality across all locations

Brand & Corporate Standards

  • Develop and maintain corporate landscape design guidelines to ensure consistency across all dealership properties.
  • Ensure landscape designs reinforce Brandt’s image and enhance the customer experience across all retail environments.
  • Support new builds, renovations, and expansions by providing landscape design input that aligns with corporate standards and operational needs.

What We Look For

  • Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Landscape Design, Environmental Sciences, or a related field (e.g. Horticulture Technician, Bachelor of Horticulture Science).
  • Min. 5 years of experience in horticulture, landscape maintenance, and/or design in a commercial setting in Canada.
  • Strong plant knowledge across different Canadian climate zones.
  • Experience preparing planting plans and layout concepts (hand-drawn or digital).
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems and low-water landscaping.
  • Experience working with multi-site organizations or commercial landscaping.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to sites across Canada.
  • Strong communication and project-coordination skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation: we offer fair, market-based wages that recognize your skills, experience, and contributions.
  • Continuous Learning: through on-the-job training and educational opportunities.
  • Opportunities for advancement within a growing company that values initiative and teamwork.
  • Comprehensive benefits coverage: including health, dental and more to support your wellbeing.
  • Retirement savings programs: Pension and RRSP programs to help you invest in your future.

When you work for Brandt, we work for you. It’s as simple as that!
