About The Role

In the role of Technical Writer you will work closely and iteratively with our Product Managers, Product Designers, Developers and QA Engineers.

As a self-driven owner who takes pride in top tier professional work, you will create, optimize and publish knowledge articles, user guides and release notes for our sophisticated enterprise audience.

Your primary goal will be to transform intricate technical information into easy-to-understand content that will empower end-users to effectively utilize and understand the value of our products and features.

As a shared owner of our core application knowledge experience, you will also be responsible for the ongoing development and improvement of not only the content but the approach to our education of users, both newly onboarded and product expert.

What You Will Do

• Develop relationships and work closely with subject matter experts to understand the products, get the information you need, and become a subject matter expert yourself.
• Find articulate, clear, and sometimes creative ways (e.g., imagery and diagrams) to explain complex concepts to drive stronger perspective and understanding of context.
• Develop detailed operator documentation aimed at helping users achieve their goals.
• Create project plans and maintain schedules for specific projects.
• Apply the latest technical communication best practices to transform existing documentation and instructional design.
• Work with user experience designers to deliver meaningful user interface text and suggest improvements to the existing product.
• Provide thought leadership and strategic consideration for adapting current curricula to alternative delivery methods, such as e-learning, micro learning, etc.
• Occasionally create videos that walk users through task workflows to accomplish their goals.
• Edit your work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

About You

You are looking to advance your Technical Writing career and you enjoy the dynamic nature of growth startups in exciting industries.

It is a bonus if you have an interest in, or experience working with travel systems and airlines. Some key qualities we are looking for include :

• 3+ years of technical writing experience (Enterprise Software experience preferred).
• Proficient with common industry tools like MadCap Flare, Document360, Paligo
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Strong skills in generating education’ content to logically explain fundamental concepts.
• Able to write user-focused, goal-oriented task, and reference topics.
• Think strategically between content goals and product solution; get narrow when focus is needed, zoom out to establish and refine the context.
• Experience in re-writing existing materials to improve accuracy as well as holist quality.
• Work independently and also grow with a cross-functional team spanning multiple regions.
• Have a working knowledge of the software development process and cloud software applications.
• Experience with creating software-related security content.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Have knowledge of data management concepts.
• Have experience with JIRA and Confluence in an Agile software development environment.
• Take ownership of your work and look for ways to improve content.
