Your role
CBC / Radio-Canada is seeking a Regional Lineup Editor for its Rouyn-Noranda station. The position may also be based in Val-d’Or.
In this role, you will report to the Manager, French Services in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. You will be responsible for reading and building radio newscasts, ensuring the inclusion of regional, national, and international news. You will write and publish content for the web. You will also be responsible for determining news angles, writing headlines and story leads, and preparing reports in collaboration with the journalists you will oversee. You will edit reporters’ scripts and request any necessary corrections to validate information prior to broadcast.
The work week consists of 37.5 hours spread over four consecutive days, including Saturday and Sunday.
Job Requirements : Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field
Five (5) years of experience in journalism or equivalent
Skills :
Knowledge of current events and regional realities
Strong ability to organize work and meet newsroom deadlines
Excellent command of spoken and written French
Advanced oral, written, and reading skills in English (an asset)
Strong ability to work as part of a team
Experience in live production is an asset
Good knowledge of digital storytelling and social media management
