Job Description:

The SOC Validation Engineer is responsible for pre- and post-silicon validation of Graphics and SOC IP.
This role involves working closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure high-quality design implementation, debug, and performance validation across graphics pipelines and system-level bring-up.

Responsibilities:

Perform IP and SOC bring-up, debug, and validation across pre- and post-silicon platforms.
Develop and execute test plans for Graphics hardware pipelines, drivers, and display systems.
Utilize FPGA and hardware emulation platforms for pre-silicon validation and debug.
Analyze BIOS, OS, and driver-level interactions to identify and resolve common failure points.
Use programming and scripting skills (Python, C/C++, Ruby) to automate test procedures and data collection.
Employ common lab equipment, computer hardware, and network tools for testing and validation.
Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering quality.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
Validate standard power management features and graphics IP use-cases.

Requirement/Must Have:

In-depth knowledge of SOC architecture, Graphics hardware pipelines, and driver-level interactions.
Experience with graphics engines and rendering software pipelines.
Experience with IP/System level bring-up, SOC debug techniques, and methodologies.
Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, C/C++, Ruby).
Experience with FPGA and hardware emulation platforms for pre-silicon debug.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter, strong collaborator, and able to independently drive tasks to completion.

Preferred Experience:

2-4 years relevant experience in pre- and post-silicon validation of Graphics IP.
3-6 years experience in the semiconductor industry.
Personal passion for computer gaming and driving game performance goals.
Experience with BIOS, OS, driver interactions, and common failure points.
Experience in process improvement initiatives to improve engineering quality.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
