The Opportunity
As a member of the Senior Leadership reporting to the President of Nordion, and the CFO of Sotera Health, the Vice President of Finance will play a pivotal role in guiding all financial activities to support Nordion’s strategic and operational objectives.
In this role, the VP Finance will partner with the business leadership to drive growth, profitability, optimize ROIC and free cash flow.
The role serves as a key partner to business unit leaders in driving financial accountability and effectiveness and includes managing a team tasked with providing value-added analysis and financial reporting.
The Vice President of Finance plays a lead role in various strategic initiatives, including operational excellence and new capital investment decisions.
In conjunction with these efforts, the Vice President of Finance will work with cross-functional groups, at both the business unit and corporate levels, to ensure that the best process, people and technological solutions are being deployed.
The Individual
As the ideal candidate, you bring over 10 years of proven financial leadership, ideally with a CPA designation, with a strong foundation in life sciences, healthcare and / or public company manufacturing environments.
You excel in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, and have a track record of driving operational efficiencies and process improvements.
With advanced technical expertise in GAAP, IFRS reporting, and ERP systems like Oracle, you are a strategic thinker who delivers results.
Your strong communication skills enable you to influence and collaborate effectively, while your strategic acumen and growth orientation position you as a trusted leader in the organization.
The position is an on-site role based in Kanata, Ottawa.
