Job description

Banquet Manager

Employer : Thompson Hotel Ltd.

Location : Kamloops, BC V2C 2B4 (On site)

Salary : $36.60 per hour (40 hours per week)

Employment Type : Full time

Schedule : Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime required

Requirements

  • Education : College / CEGEP
  • Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Conduct performance reviews
  • Cost products and services
  • Organize and maintain inventory
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation
  • Leading / instructing individuals
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Provide customer service
  • Plan for social events and guest programs
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations

    • Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses

  • Food and beverage server trade certification
