General Role Description

The Installation & Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that all installation objectives are completed, providing technical leadership to staff, coordinating, and verifying all components on projects to complete installations on schedule and on budget.

They must follow strict safety guidelines and use strong communication skills to resolve installation problems and find innovative solutions.

General Duties / Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to) :

Installation & Service Management

• Supervise and be accountable for the installation teams including subcontractors, ensuring they follow best practices, health and safety guidelines and meet quality standards on all projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the installation teams of all security systems while onsite
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during installations, act as the liaison between the installation team and the IT Analyst team.
• Ensure adherence to work order specifications and establish procedures and policies.
• Conduct pre-project site surveys to assess the location, gather critical information, and ensure the project's feasibility, design accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Conducting thorough site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Team Leadership :

• Work closely with HR regarding recruitment, develop a training roadmap, and mentor installation team.
• Conduct monthly 1-1 meetings, mid-year and annual performance evaluations, and provide constructive feedback to the installation team members.
• Manage and track installation team's KPI's, ensuring they are met.
• Ensure the installation team is effectively managed, with prompt and accurate return of all required paperwork.
• Source, screen, and recruit new potential installers and subcontractors.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional development
• Ensure company policies and standards are being followed by the installation team.
• Proactively champion safety initiatives to maintain a compliant, accident-free work environment, adhering to all Health and Safety Regulations and Legislation.
• Oversee and manage all assigned tasks for the installation team, including daily vehicle inspections and the completion of any delegated warehouse-related duties.
• Evaluate the quality of wok delivered by the installation team.
• Learn and master new techniques essential for upcoming jobs. (e.g. terminate ends on fiber optic cables, deploy and configure laser red scanner, etc.)

Project Management :

• Plan, prioritize, and assign projects and tasks to the installation team.
• Provide installation / project insights to the Assigned Project Manager during all project phases to ensure clear communication between the installation team, client, and other stakeholders.
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
• Follow New Age Group's Project Management process including design, project kickoffs, costing, assigning resources, and closeout / post-mortem.

This role is not limited to the above listed responsibilities; other tasks may be assigned as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree or diploma from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in the commercial and industrial installation and service of security systems.
• Previous experience in Project Management and / or PMP Certification is considered an asset.
• Hands-on experience in leading an installation team and / or managing subcontractors.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Capable of reading and understanding Visio and AutoCAD building diagrams, security and riser drawings.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

New Age Group is a well-recognized company in the security industry and to protect the safety of our customers, the successful candidate will be required to provide a clean Criminal Background & Judicial Report for the past 5 years from Canada (which means you have not lived outside of Canada for the past 5 years) upon hiring.

Job Types : Full-time, Permanent

Salary : $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

Experience :

• Security industry : 5 years (preferred)
• Supervisory : 3 years (preferred)
