POSITION : Heavy Duty Mechanic
JOB TYPE : Full Time
LOCATION : Grande Prairie, Alberta
JOB SUMMARY :
The Agency is supporting a confidential recruitment process for full-time Journeyman or Year 2-4 Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanics.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
We are looking for a skilled, safety-oriented professional committed to delivering exceptional service.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Diagnosis and repairs on transport equipment in a safe and timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repair work ensuring it meets manufacturers; specifications and legislated regulations
- Coordinate equipment activity with Foremen to ensure regular preventative maintenance and servicing
- Maintaining records of supplies and parts picked / used in conjunction with closely monitoring the material required for restocking of the shop
- Carries out weekly service and preventive maintenance of site power generation equipment
- Interpret work orders, technical manuals, mechanical drawings and equipment specifications
- Writes service reports and maintains service records
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
REQUIREMENTS :
- Year 2 - 4 Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
- Current certifications an asset :
H2S, First Aid, CSO
Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement
Physically fit to carry out required job duties
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
