Job Overview

The occupant of this position looks to create and promote an organizational culture of employee and workplace safety. Reporting to the Construction Manager the candidate will direct matters related to occupational health and safety law including; develop initiatives in collaboration with others that are aimed at raising safety awareness; increase employee knowledge of safe work practices; develop health and safety programs; conduct health and safety assessments, conduct follow-up investigations to accidents and incidents; and develop / deliver training programs and assist with managing the company tools and asset program when necessary.

Note that the position requires a vehicle, as it entails visiting different jobsites on a weekly basis across the lower mainland. Toolbox Talks / site visits will need to start when the sites open, and therefore the start time for this position can be as early as 6 : 00am.
