Software Developer

Location : remote Canada, preference given to candidates based in Toronto, ON or able to work hybrid (3 days / wk in our Victoria, BC office

Compensation : $85,000 - $95,000 CAD

Opportunity

We strive to deliver a high‑quality, reliable Payment Acceptance Platform via a SAAS model. As a Software Developer, you will be a key contributor on the Engineering Team who ensures the platform is of the highest quality and reliability by developing applications and solutions that meet customer needs.

We use a variety of server technologies, like JSON / REST, C#, and SQL to create an always online 24x7 platform. We develop mobile payment applications and SDK products on Android, iOS, and Windows in native languages like Kotlin, Java, and Objective‑C and cross‑platform languages like C# and C++.

The ideal candidate loves to work on a wide variety of code bases, both server and client side.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Work with other developers to design, code, test and document distributed software applications.
• Take part in an agile environment and the practice of iterative and incremental changes.
• Contribute to translation of product requirements into reliable, scalable and maintainable software designs for you and your team to implement.
• Develop your skills as a technical mentor and mentee through peer code reviews and other collaborative software practices.
• Coordinate with production operations teams to help with ad‑hoc troubleshooting and client support during regular business hours.
• Contribute to software quality by writing unit tests and working with QA on the automated test suite.
