The salary range for this position is:
- Recruitment range: $66,826 to $73,674. Starting salary is determined in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.
- Performance range: Up to $86,884. Progression beyond the recruitment range is available through annual performance increases, in accordance with the PEA Collective Agreement.
Job Summary
Mandate:
As part of the Alumni & Development unit, and under the leadership of the Director, Alumni Relations, the UVic Alumni Relations office works in partnership with the UVic Alumni Association to inform and engage to inspire a proud community of alumni to help enhance UVic’s external profile and positively influence the success of the university.
Reporting to the Alumni Relations Manager, the Alumni Relations Coordinator – Signature Events and Programs develops and implements strategic Alumni Relations events, programs, and services, designed to strengthen alumni relationships with the university and the Alumni Association.
Objectives:
The Alumni Relations Coordinator – Signature Events and Programs oversees comprehensive event planning, management, and analysis. This involves leading Signature Events programming, innovating alumni outreach, managing logistics and budgets, leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance alumni experiences and reputation. The Alumni Relations Coordinator is also responsible for developing and implementing key alumni programs and services, such as the Alumni ONECard program, mentorship programming, and other strategic projects to increase overall alumni engagement.
This role will be required to work independently and demonstrate a high level of initiative while being in a dynamic team environment where flexibility and multi-tasking is essential. Flexibility to work weekends and/or evenings for events is required.
Job Requirements
This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

Assets:
- Experience working in a post-secondary Alumni and Development environment.
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge, RE NXT, NetCommunity or similar.
