Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

OVERVIEW

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician (E / I Technician) works as part of the maintenance team to complete day to day electrical and instrumentation repairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Work safely while conducting required duties and have a strong dedication to working safely
• Maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment through predictive and preventative maintenance strategies including, but not limited to PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), DCSs (Distributed Control Systems), AC / DC variable speed drives, and power distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation equipment as needed
• Work as part of a team and independently as required

Compensation

The E / I Technician is paid in accordance with the Unifor, Local 96 collective agreement. The starting rate for a journeyperson is $44.25 per hour.
