OVERVIEW
Corner Brook Pulp and Paper is currently looking for an Maintenance Manager to lead our Maintenance Department. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
-Plan, manage and evaluate the operation and activities of the maintenance team.Set maintenance and reliability priorities.Work with the operations group to ensure overall mill priorities are completed efficiently and effectively.
-Coordinate maintenance activities with production departments, to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources, machinery and equipment.
-Develop, support, and control the maintenance cost budgets, making certain that the budget is respected and all attempts are made to achieve mill targets.
-Develop and implement strategic plans to continuously improve the effectiveness of maintenance.This includes implementation and improvement of maintenance precision, effective utilization of all resources and materials, and a reliability process to identify root cause and eliminate repeat failures.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate must have:
·Post secondary education in a relevant area of Engineering or Engineering technology.
·7-10 years of prior experience in progressive roles, preferably in manufacturing.
·Aptitude to function as a Change Agent, to foster creativity and idea generation.
·Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
·Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and lead a large team.
·Capacity to exercise problem solving techniques in the analysis of a problem.
·Ability to assess and make decisions in urgent and demanding situations.
