Corden Holdings Ltd. has an opening for a Building Maintenance Worker

The Building Maintenance Worker is responsible for keeping our buildings and housing units functional and livable

Specific duties :

• Perform daily inspection on building and housing grounds and perform routine maintenance jobs and minor repairs such as painting, caulking, HVAC repairs, drywall repairs, lock repairs, window / door repairs, electrical system repairs and make notations of the overall physical condition of every property and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of property including removal of garbage and administering garbage enclosures, dumpsters and / or garage compactor rooms, including deodorizing and power washing of garbage area.
• Monitor and ensure all necessary supplies are well stocked and equipped.
• Notify tenants promptly for all job maintenance, for example, if the yard needs to be mowed or weeds appear to be an issue, respective tenants must have sufficient time to remedy the notice and fined accordingly on a daily basis until the issue has been resolved.
• Implement service requests from tenants and residents within 24-hour period.
• Implement Management’s plans and policies to ensure the life and functioning of our buildings and equipment to tenants’ satisfaction.
• Timely respond to emergencies arising outside of normal business hours in like cases such as fire, flood, power loss, etc.
• Timely carry out snow removal to ensure grounds safety and accessibility to building and housing unit premises.
• Supervise other workers in the Building Maintenance Department and train new workers.
• Ensure that the housing units and premises are prepared for the upcoming tenants / occupants.
• Make sure that all security and safety concerns are attended to for all the premises of the building and housing units.
• Be responsible for advertising vacancies, showing commercial and residential premises to interested applicants. May also collect rents.

Employment Requirements :

• Completion of secondary school.
• Previous electrical system maintenance experience is required (1-2 years).
• Certificate or diploma in electrical or electronic technology, an asset.
• Fire safety and health safety program training certificate, an asset.
• Emergency and evacuation training certificate, an asset.

Skills and Experience Requirements :

• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Must have valid Driver's License
• 1-2 years’ experience conducting on-site inspections, implementing emergency and safety plans and preparing safety reports
• 1-2 years’ experience in

Installing and maintaining electrical system and fixing electrical problems

Inspecting electrical installations

Installing ground cables

Maintaining data and cable systems

Fixing and troubleshooting cable system problems

Language : English

Compensation : Corden Holdings Ltd. offers an hourly rate of $29.00 to the right candidate

Benefits : Medical and dental benefits after 6 months of employment with 3 weeks

Vacation after one year
