Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a full-time opportunity in Markham, ON. If you have strong forklift experience, attention to detail, and enjoy supporting efficient material flow across warehouse operations, this could be a great opportunity to join a high-performing team.
In this position, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse and production activities including receiving, storage, picking, kitting, and distribution of materials while ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency across all operations.
- Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
- Location: Markham, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30/8:00 AM - 4:30/5:00 PM (Day Shift, OT available but not mandatory)

Responsibilities- Perform picking, packing, kitting, staging, and replenishment of materials and components.
- Support putaway of inbound freight to designated storage locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, bin audits, and physical inventory participation.
- Sort, organize, and label freight, pallets, and storage locations according to warehouse standards.
- Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices and proper material rotation.
- Use RF scanners and SAP for material transactions, tracking, and documentation.
- Assist with material discrepancy investigations and report shortages or damages promptly.
- Safely operate Reach Truck, pallet jack, and other powered material handling equipment (valid certification required).
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments from trucks or containers.
- Transport materials between warehouses, staging areas, and production lines.
- Deliver materials, packaging, consumables, and components to production cells as required.
- Support multiple product lines with timely material movement and finished goods handling.
- Prepare and stage kits and job orders according to production priorities.
- Assist with line returns and ensure materials are returned to proper stock locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S) across all work areas.
- Follow Lean principles, waste reduction practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and EHS regulations.
- Report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors, and production staff.
- Communicate material shortages or delays proactively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain a positive, reliable, and safety-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- High School Diploma required.
- 1-3 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling preferred.
- Valid Reach Truck / Forklift Certification required.
- Experience using SAP or ability to learn inventory systems quickly.
- Experience with RF scanners is an asset.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs frequently and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality and safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
