The Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Executive Office is now accepting applications for the following two full-time permanent position, based out of La Ronge, SK: Lac La Ronge Indian Band

COMMUNITY PATROLLING OFFICER

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

· Guard the property against fire, suspicious behaviour, theft, vandalism and forced entry;

· Patrol building, grounds and work site by vehicle as specified by employer;

· Regularly check security vehicle and report any maintenance requests to Public Works;

· Observes or examine doors, windows and gates to ensure they are properly secured;

· Watch for and report irregularities to supervisor and other agencies (RCMP or Fire Department);

· Work independently with minimal supervision;

· Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details;

· Other duties of a similar nature as may be assigned from time to time.

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

· Security Guard training course or related work experience may be considered;

· Grade 12 diploma;

· Previous experience in the security industry will be an asset;

· Ability to deal with the public in a respective, assertive manner;

· Must be able to pass RCMP Security Clearance;

· Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to provide an acceptable Driver’s Abstract;

· Have access to a reliable vehicle is preferred;

· Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;

· Punctual, honest & reliable.

· Ability to speak Cree is an asset.
