Work Assignment Overview
The IT Reporting and Analytics Consultant Level 2 is responsible for gathering business requirements, assessing data needs, and building data and analytics solutions, including enterprise data pipelines and data models for various dashboards and reports.
This role supports organizational objectives by performing integration, design, and implementation of various reporting and analytics projects.
General Description
The IT Reporting and Analytics Consultant Level 2 will :
Perform integration, design, and implementation of reporting and analytics projects to support business operations.
Determine business requirements and feasible technical options to achieve organizational objectives.
Review functional specification documents and present proposed technical designs to development leads.
Develop sustainable reporting solutions by following architectural direction and approved technical design.
Maintain reporting solutions through routine sustainment activities to support multiple project and sustainment teams.
Collaborate with functional and technical teams to validate business / information requirements, translate them into conceptual business design models, and troubleshoot development items.
Monitor solution development by providing timely status updates on work progress and current issues.
Document technical solutions and new work procedures by creating process flows, job aids, and standard operating procedures.
Experience and Role Accountabilities
A minimum of five (5) years of consulting experience in reporting and analytics or equivalent.
Ability to translate business insights and develop dashboards.
Experience designing and developing enterprise data models and products.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Excellent communication skills for a professional environment, both written and spoken.
Experience in an agile environment.
Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Excellent performance tuning skills.
Intermediate working knowledge and experience in the design and construction of data / information architectures that enable integrated reporting and analytical solutions.
Intermediate working knowledge of change management procedures and policies.
Must Have :
Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Ability to translate business insights and develop dashboards.
Experience designing and developing enterprise data models and products.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience in an agile environment.
