Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including : experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. About the role
We’re looking for a Claims Assistant I to join our team!
You will support general business operations by providing various administrative support activities. You will be accountable for various tasks and may be required to collect and analyze information related to claims support.
This role can be located in St. John's, NL / Dartmouth, NS or Dieppe, NB.
What you'll do here :
Attribute and assign incoming documents to the appropriate claim for actioning
Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.
Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.
Process payments on claim files.
Transcribe data from documents or databases using standardized practices.
Support projects or new initiatives as requested.
Assist in the execution of other various support tasks.
In office component required (minimum 2 days per week)
What you bring to the table :
College Diploma including business / administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
At least one year of office work experience.
Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.
Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.
Highly organized and able to manage workflow efficiently
Team player with a positive attitude
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
