Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. Your responsibilities
- Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
- Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
- Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department
- Compare monthly operating results against budget
- Prepare financial outlooks and forecasts
- Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
- Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
- Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
- Direct risk and insurance management
- Manage the preparation of all financial reports
- Manage the hiring, training, and retention of finance staff
- Adhere to local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
- Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Suggest benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance
- 10+ years of finance and accounting experience
- Knowledge of financial and accounting reporting systems
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- MBA or CPA is required
- Prior experience with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including ASNPO
- Experience with higher level functionality in Microsoft Excel
- Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
- Government reporting experience nice to have
