Your Opportunity : Description :
Each pharmacy student will perform tasks in at least one of these areas : Patient Care – students will spend time with a Pharmacist providing direct patient care. Projects – each student will participate in one or more projects. These may involve data / literature collection and reviews, suggest new procedures / tools and assist in creating them. Many of these projects will benefit Central Zone on a regional basis. Drug Distribution – students may have the opportunity to observe drug distribution functions.
Required Qualifications :
Completion of at least one year of training in a formal Pharmacy degree program.
Additional Required Qualifications :
Displays tact, courtesy, discretion and respects confidentiality. Must be accurate, reliable, precise, cooperative, able to demonstrate effective service attitude, self-motivated. Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Professional Affiliation - Alberta College of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications :
Some exposure to hospitals and hospital pharmacy could be a benefit. Familiarity with word processing and pharmacy computer software an asset. Excellent organizational, problem-solving and decision-making ability desired. Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills desired.
