You will be part of a broad team of professionals focused on providing the RCAF with a modern, effective and efficient pilot training program.
The Pilatus PC 21 training program will support RCAF pilot candidates moving forward on advanced fixed wing flight training as they continue their pursuit of obtaining their RCAF pilot wings.

The role we are offering you :
In this position you will be part of the FAcT Technical Integration Team and will require working in partnership with CAE’s Pilatus PC 21 Qualified Flight instructors (QFI) and leading the IPT (Integrated Product Team) and TDT (Training Development Team) on behalf of CAE.
As a key subject matter expert you will support the design of the Pilatus PC 21 training program. Additionally, in collaboration with the Courseware Instructional System Designer (ISD), you and your team will work with RCAF representatives to advise and review the module outlines, storyboards and courseware production for technical content and alignment with the Training Plan.
Finally, this position may require that you support other program needs such as Flight Training Operations design, Ground Based Training Systems design and training device design.
Depending on your location, this position may be performed remotely within Canada with travel requirements to locations such as Ottawa, Montreal and Moose Jaw.
- Undertaking aircraft type familiarization training;
- Fulfilling subject matter expert roles in support of the Training Program design;
- Attending meetings and working with contractor and RCAF representatives;
- Supporting the design and development of courseware, including classroom-based, synthetic training device-based and live flying training sequences;
- Supporting acceptance testing of courseware and synthetic training devices;
- Supporting the establishment of an integrated training center through the development of policy and procedure documents;
- Analyzing and reporting on training needs and risks;
- Aligning training program and courseware design with training device, training center and flight operation capabilities;
- Support Validation and Verification (V&V) efforts; and
- Identify when customer expectations reach beyond contracted scope.
Our ideal candidate has :
- 10+ years Flying experience or pilot training program design and training delivery experience;
- o Contracted Flying Training & Support (CFTS) instructor with 500+hrs or accredited aviation college instructor with 500+hrs of instruction;
- o Hold, or have held, a Transport Canada (TC), Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) or European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Commercial Pilot’s license;
- o Hold, or have held, a TC, FAA, EASA or RCAF instructor rating;
- Demonstrated military flying experience.

Candidate must be able to obtain a Level I security clearance, successfully pass a security evaluation per the requirements of the Controlled Goods Directorate of Canada and to CAE and be able to obtain all necessary re-transfer authorization in compliance with US ITAR regulations.
