What is required :

• Master of Clinical Science (MSc) degree in Audiology and Speech-language Pathology
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
• Superior communication, problem-solving, time-management and documentation skills
• Self-motivation while managing a busy and varied caseload
• Clinical skills in evidence-based practice
• Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance and access to a reliable vehicle
• Completion of a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last six months

Expectations :

• You are a passionate Speech Language Pathologist who celebrates the successes of each client while working in a community environment.
• Assessments e.g. cognitive communication, reading comprehension, speech and swallowing
• Clinical experience with head trauma and brain injury is an asset
• Community-based service delivery, often as one of several members of a multi-disciplinary team
• Return-to-work strategies and plans
• You want a career that will provide you the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of clients while collaborating with other medical and rehabilitation professionals, which will assist you in developing your skills and knowledge as an SLP
• You know you are making a difference in a client’s story as they move towards recovery.
