As a Business Analyst, you will use your skills and expertise to contribute to various phases of the project lifecycle from creating business requirements and development activities through to application delivery.

You will work directly with our clients as well as internal stakeholders to understand and document business requirements, concepts, and objectives.

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to :

  • Validating detailed analysis of business functions, rules, and processes
  • Documenting business requirements and functional specifications
  • Documenting process mapping and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Effectively managing customer expectations in solution development
  • Proactively managing project scope changes, identifying potential risks, and devising contingency plans and gap analysis.
  • Working closely with business partners, solution architects, developers, and testers to consistently understand business processes and requirements
  • Working within a systems development lifecycle methodology may include creating documentation (e.g., functional design documents, use cases, user stories, and end-user training material);

using a framework or tools to structure and support projects; and participating in testing and release management

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10 Years of experience in IM / IT that includes 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
  • Experience in analysis and design of software systems
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Facilitation skills - Demonstrated experience in conducting working sessions for requirements gathering
  • Understanding of the Agile lifecycle
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience defining requirements for internal and public-facing websites
  • Demonstrated experience working with a distributed team

Nice to have, but not required :

  • Client-based consulting experience
  • Data analysis experience
  • Experience in a digital health / ehealth space in a Canadian jurisdiction
  • Experience in digital transformation project(s) in the public sector
