Why this role is important?

Basic Function :

The Central Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacist will utilize their professional skills and communication abilities in support of one or more programs.

Nature and Scope :

In support of program operations, the Pharmacist will be required to work individually or in a team environment. Programs will require communication with patients, providers or retail pharmacies and require strict adherence to program standard operating procedures.

The Pharmacist will support Central Pharmacy programs.

What you will do :

Successfully complete all required program training and testing

Convey a positive company image when communicating with patients, providers or pharmacies and within the workplace at all times

Consult with patients regarding drug therapy, helping to provide medication information and resolve drug therapy problems through various communication modalities including chat and phone

Data entry of clinical and non-clinical information into application databases

Achievement of specific quality goals related to adherence to standard operating procedures

Provide leadership and support to team members and ensure adherence to program procedures and compliance with all legal requirements and standards of pharmacy practice

Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding program operations and potential improvements to quality, efficiency, and overall program performance

Maintains patient confidentiality in all interactions including handling of prescriptions, volume of voice, shredding of documents, and the attainment of patient consent

Practice within legal requirements and ethical principles, and demonstrate professional integrity and acting to uphold professional standard of practice

Perform additional duties including supporting additionalCPS programs,such as central fill programs CPAK and Vial,based on workload and business needs

Hours of operation for this role is 6PM to 6AM, 7 days on, 7 days off

What you will need :

Insured and currently licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacist (Part A), in good standing

Exceptional written communication skills and verbal skills

Strong quality orientation, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and adhere to compliance / audit requirements

Proficient in data entry, and the use of Windows-based programs

Maintains high ethical standards

Commitment to providing exceptional customer service

Qualified to counsel patients verbally and written in English; Bilingual (English and French) is preferred

Minimum of 2 years of experience as licensed, practicing pharmacist is preferred

Flexible to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends

Pour soutenir l’exploitation des programmes, le pharmacien ou la pharmacienne doit travailler individuellement ou avec une équipe.

La majorité des programmes nécessitent de communiquer avec les patients, les fournisseurs ou les pharmacies de détail et demandent de respecter rigoureusement les procédures opérationnelles de la pharmacie.

Le pharmacien va soutien les programmes des pharmaceutiques centralisés.

Tâches :

Compléter les formations et évaluations requises, et ce, avec succès.

En tout temps, communiquer une image positive de l’entreprise auprès des patients, des fournisseurs ou des pharmacies et en milieu de travail.

Consulter les patients au sujet de la pharmacothérapie, fournir de l’information sur les médicaments et résoudre les problèmes de traitement médicamenteux au moyen de diverses modalités de communication, notamment par téléphone et par clavardage.

Entrer des données, cliniques ou non, dans les bases de données.

Atteindre des objectifs spécifiques en matière de qualité relatifs au respect des procédures opérationnelles de la pharmacie.

Faire preuve de leadership et soutenir les membres de l’équipe, et assurer le respect des procédures des programmes ainsi que la conformité aux exigences légales et aux normes de l’exercice de la pharmacie.

Fournir des rétroactions et commentaires à l’équipe de gestion concernant l’exploitation des programmes et leurs améliorations potentielles de qualité, d’efficacité et de performance.

Préserver la confidentialité des patients durant toutes les interactions, y compris pour le traitement des ordonnances, le volume de la voix, le déchiquetage de documents et l’obtention du consentement des patients.

Pratiquer dans le cadre des exigences prévues par la loi et de principes d’éthique, faire preuve d’intégrité professionnelle et agir de façon à maintenir les normes de pratique professionnelles.

Effectuer des tâches supplémentaires, notamment soutenir d’autres programmes de SPC, comme les programmes de remplissage centralisé de piluliers et de flacons, en fonction de la charge de travail et des besoins de l’entreprise.

Qualifications :

Titulaire d’assurances et d’une licence en règle auprès de l’Ordre des pharmaciens de l’Ontario (Ontario College of Pharmacist) (Partie A).

Aptitudes exceptionnelles pour la communication écrite et verbale.

Grand sens de la qualité et de l’attention aux détails, et aptitude à apprendre les exigences en matière de conformité et y adhérer.

Compétence en entrée de données, connaissance de programmes pour Windows.

Maintien des normes élevées d’éthique.

Engagement à offrir un service à la clientèle exceptionnel.

Être qualifié(e) pour conseiller les patients en anglais, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit; être bilingue (anglais et français), un atout.

Minimum de deux ans d’expérience à titre de pharmacien(ne) titulaire d’une licence et en exercice, un atout.

Flexibilité pour travailler à différents quarts de travail, notamment la nuit et les fins de semaine.
