Job Description
Our client in the healthcare industry is seeking to hire an Accounts Payable Clerk for a 1-month contract. In this position you would be responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities :
- Review and verify invoices and check requests, sort and match invoices with purchase orders, and enter and upload invoices into the system.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, reconcile accounts payable transactions, and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues, respond to vendor inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate historical records, update and maintain vendor database, and ensure proper documentation and approval for all transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing, prepare analysis of accounts, and monitor and track expenses and petty cash.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, assist with audits, and implement and maintain internal controls.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- Proven working experience in accounts payable or general accounting; familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
