Summer Intern, Land Development

Position Overview

This role will assist various members of the Land Development team including Development Managers, Civil Design Managers, Project Managers and Project Coordinators. This role offers hands-on experience in land development processes, including project documentation, cost analysis, permit applications, and construction coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Request for Proposals for consultants and contractors.
• Prepare bid analysis of offsite and onsite infrastructure requirements including earthworks.
• Prepare take offs of servicing and earthwork scopes.
• Source quotations for material supply and installation.
• Prepare preliminary grading and servicing design concepts.
• Letter of credit system management including reductions and coordination with consultants / contractors / municipalities.
• Prepare and manage permit applications.
• Complete BC One Call and review of shallow utilities
• Issue, maintain and organize purchase orders and sub-contracts.
• As-built / report searches at municipalities.
• Expense Reports / Project Cost Reports including reviews of budgets vs. actuals through design and construction.
• Prepare meeting agendas and compile meeting minutes.
