Senior Technical Analyst L1/2 Production Support
Job Description The role : The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a very supportive and helpful team while taking on a very crucial production support role that heavily impacts Scotiabank’s operation.
Role & Responsibilities : You will provide production batch processing support using ETL in Big Data Platforms Hadoop with Talend, Hive Query Language (HQL), NPIF, Spark and Scheduling tools such as Tidal, Airflow and AutosysYou will provide support for implementation activities for Transaction Microservices related to Vault upgrade.
Should have good knowledge of MinIO which leads to data pipeline processing failures in PROD environment.Support activites like Fallback to Primary Site for Annual DBR for Harmony / CIDA flowShould be familiar with services which use mc (MinIO client) to upload / download data from MinIO, track data processing status.
You may provide support to Business Intelligence applications and visualisations such as Power BIYou can troubleshoot technical issues by analyzing Minio log files and fixing the issues.
Analyze data related issues and identify root cause of issues / defects.You have experience in Production support of Microservice, this includes batch runs and minor development requests to fix defects as required.
You get to troubleshoot failed jobs and output data & remediate issues.You will work with the development team and level 3 supports to resolve day to day issue(s).
You manage production incident tickets effectively & efficiently.You conduct root cause analysis of application incident and implement recommendations to improve the situation focusing on permanent solutions.
You will respond to stakeholder(s) with agreed Service level Agreements (SLA) and ensure production issue(s) are resolved on time.
You maintain technical documents and tracking challenges. Skills Required : You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with production support.
You have at least 4+ years of hands-on technical working experience with ETL technologies, preferable DataStage.You have at least 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with integration patterns using REST and SOAP APIs, Talend or informatica tools, Kafka etc.
You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Hadoop, Spark, SQL / HiveQL and UNIX.You can demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with users, developer, stakeholder & management.
You have the ability to work well across many teams and environments.An asset to have experience with Talend; as well as working experience in the banking industry.
