Technical Specialist - Case Management and ERP -Intermediate

Role :

This position is required to augmentexisting technical resources with PSRN Projectdeliverables.

Suitable candidates will possess the SMEand technical background to support ongoing detachment site visits& BEAT systemtesting.

Collaboration on the design developmentand deployment of user equipment (UE) in thefield.

Support technical work required in theProvincial Communication Centre s as the Land Mobile Radio Network(LMRN) projectevolves.

Participate in overseeing mobile andrelated radio systems and operational development maintenance orsupport activities by identifying necessary human material and / orfinancial resources including those of vendors or ministrypartners.

Work with the project team in completing all relevant and requireddocumentation in alignment with OPSstandards.

Deliverables :

• Provide specialized radio technology expertise for OPP personnelby : conducting tests and inspections of the OPP telecommunicationssystem to determine faults or failures;
• installing configuring andmaintaining radio equipment; completing repairs or replacing faultycomponents or identifying the proper contractor to complete thenecessary work;

auditing accepting and approving contractor repairwork for contract compliance; notifying appropriate parties oftelecommunication system problems andfailures.

Provides technical support to OPP radio technology andtelecommunicationsinitiatives.

Aids when requested by both internal OPP staff and externalpersonnel to research technical problems determine solutions andmake recommendations to supervisors andusers.

Supports plans and assists with the implementation of approvedinitiatives systems subsystems andapplications.

Assists in developing systems and required documentation trainingplans technology testing and implementationplans.

Providestechnical and operational advice to multifaceted teams; monitorsand reports on progress and deadlines; monitors and tracksexpenditures;

coordinates internal project teams andvendor / contractedresources.

Experienceand Skill SetRequirements

SkillsandKnowledge :

Knowledge of all subsystem components within OPP control involvedin the telecommunications system and their inter relationshipincluding microwave mobile portable and base radios and repeatersdiesel generators standby and backup power systems alarm reportingsystem telephone and radio system switches dispatch computercommunications consoles voicemail systems console and communicationcentre voice recording systems and network tielines.

Knowledge of the Fleet Net radio system to diagnose problems andaccommodate changes orupgrades.

Knowledge of evolving radio technologies and Land Mobile RadioNetwork (LMRN)solutions.

Knowledge of communications software to manage LAN operationswithin a CommunicationsCentre.

Atleast 3 years ofexperience

Assets :

Past experience with law enforcement technologyprojects.
